DESCRIPTION:The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) remains committed to strengthening the regulation of health products and aligning South Africa’s regulatory framework with international best practices. \n  \nFollowing the initial stakeholder engagement on the mandatory Import Authorisation System for health products\, SAHPRA acknowledges the valuable feedback and concerns raised by industry stakeholders. As part of its ongoing commitment to transparent engagement\, SAHPRA will host a second webinar to provide further updates and clarify the implementation of the Import Authorisation System. \n  \nSAHPRA will commence a pilot phase involving a selected group of importers effective 1 September 2026. The pilot will support the refinement of the system and facilitate a smooth transition towards broader implementation. \n  \nObjectives\nThe webinar aims to: \n\nClarify the scope of the new Import Authorisation requirement and its regulatory basis.\nReminder on the link between the new process and WHO GBT ML3 requirements.\nDemonstrate the application process\, documentation requirements\, and approval timelines.\nClarify the status regarding applicable fees.\nProvide a platform for questions\, feedback\, and stakeholder engagement before implementation.\n\n  \nWe look forward to your participation! \n  \n\nRegister Here
